Uses of Cocoa
Chocolate Production
- Cocoa Liquor (or mass): By grinding roasted cocoa beans, it is the base for making chocolate.
- Cocoa Butter: The fat extracted from the cola beans, used in chocolate, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
- Cocoa Powder: The dry part left after extracting coca butter, used in baking, drinks, and desserts.
Animal Feed
The Shells from cocoa beans (cocoa husks) can be used as animal feed, mulch, or compost material.
